Join The CDC Foundation as an Epidemiologist in a remote position, working with CDC and state and local authorities to provide surge staffing for the nation's COVID-19 response. The role involves performing data activities dealing with the collection and analysis of surveillance activities, epidemiology, and survey data for COVID-19 and other emerging infectious diseases.

Requirements

• Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Public Health, or related field
• Proficient knowledge of epidemiological principles and statistical analysis methods
• Proficient knowledge of concepts, principles, methods, and techniques of administering public health programs
• Proficient knowledge of survey design, administration, and evaluation
• Basic understanding of systems and procedures necessary for surveillance and investigation of infectious and chronic diseases
• Proficient understanding of database software (MS Access) and statistical analysis software (R, SAS, SPSS, GIS)
• Experience assisting in the design, conduct, and evaluation of epidemiologic studies and field investigations
