Join Turner & Townsend as an Estimator or Senior Estimator and contribute to our ambitious growth plans. We are seeking experienced professionals with a background in Infrastructure (Rail, Highways, Power, Marine, Water, or Utilities) to work across our North East & Yorkshire offices (Newcastle, Teesside, Sheffield, and Leeds). You will be responsible for producing accurate estimates and cost plans, managing the estimating process, and supporting the development of estimating best practices. The role offers flexibility, with opportunities for remote work within the region, and the chance to work on both regional and national/international projects. Requirements
- Be qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
- Have relevant successful experience of provision of estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment
- Have previous experience of working with estimating software packages
- Be a member of a relevant professional body with chartered status or be working towards it
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner
- Control and management of the estimating process at project level
- Produce estimates without management or supervision
- Assist with the gathering and sharing of estimating data
- Support development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend
- Assist in the achievement of departmental objectives
- Stay abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise to be able to give best practice advice in line with business objectives
