Estimator

Summary

Join Turner & Townsend as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in our North East & Yorkshire region! We're looking for experienced professionals in the Infrastructure sector (Rail, Highways, Power, Marine, Water, or Utilities) to work on long-term commissions across various major programs. You'll be working with clients as an embedded resource or on ad-hoc projects, potentially remotely within the region. Our team provides estimating and commercial intelligence outputs to support client decision-making, including estimate production, assurance, support for major program setup, and data analysis. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on both regional and international projects.

Requirements

• Be qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
• Have relevant successful experience in providing estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment
• Have previous experience working with estimating software packages
• Be a member of a relevant professional body with chartered status or be working towards it

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner
• Control and manage the estimating process at the project level
• Produce estimates without management or supervision
• Assist with the gathering and sharing of estimating data
• Support the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend
• Assist in the achievement of departmental objectives
• Stay abreast of developments within your technical area of expertise to give best practice advice in line with business objectives
