Summary
Join the Eclipse Foundation as a European Program and Partnership Manager and play a crucial role in overseeing European projects, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring the success of the foundation's European engagement. Reporting to the Vice President of European Operations and Policy, you will collaborate closely with the Research team. This position requires a strong understanding of EU institutions and experience in managing consortia for European projects. Responsibilities include developing partnerships, managing project proposals and implementation, building relationships with stakeholders, representing the foundation at EU events, and providing strategic guidance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical, and writing skills, along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in EU projects. The position is based in Brussels, Belgium, and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in EU projects
- Demonstrated understanding of EU institutions and EU funding programs
- Excellent writing skills for proposal and report drafting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience building relationships with other stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop effective policy solutions
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative and distributed team
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in political science, law, project management, computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Develop and Manage partnerships with stakeholders and build or participate in project consortia
- Manage project proposals as project partner or project coordinator and lead consortium-building efforts across EU member
- Manage the implementation and reporting of EU projects in accordance with budget and planning requirements, as well as the relationship with EU project officers
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders, including EU institutions, NGOs, academic organizations, and private sector partners
- Represent the foundation at EU-level events and conferences and advocate for the benefits of open source software and the role it can play in promoting innovation and competitiveness
- Monitor upcoming call for projects and call for tenders and support management in building go/nogo decisions
- Provide analysis, strategic guidance and support to the foundation's leadership on EU project opportunities that can support open source software development and adoption
