Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of solid buying experience acquiring final products at fashion brands or department stores
• Highly quantitative and comfortable using spreadsheets, Excel, and doing retail math
• Strong analytical and logical skills
• Strong sense of team; ability to take feedback well
• Ability to organize and multi-task
• Research-minded and detail-oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while maintaining a positive, ownership-focused mindset
• Ability to operate fully remotely and digitally
• Ability to work from home in a professional and rigorous way
• Excellent English in both verbal and written communications
• Ownership mentality, highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Ability and willingness to quickly and efficiently adapt in a rapidly changing start-up environment

Responsibilities

• Assist the buying team with research for six categories: Handbags, Accessories, Watches, Jewelry, Shoes, and Apparel
• Understand the luxury market and possess sound knowledge of different luxury brands and their seasonal collections
• Understand how resale pricing for luxury goods works
• Research market trends and resale market price comparisons
• Work extensively on client submissions and learn to recognize high-end designers, trends, models, and SKUs from the database and site search
• Determine, based on market research, the buying price and resale price and establish margins
• Organize various buying process guides, team learnings, and buying documents
• Perform buying support duties such as updating data, exporting and tracking files, and responding to general buying inquiries from other departments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience managing OTB
• Previous luxury and resale knowledge
