Summary
Join the SOPHiA GENETICS Genomic Research team as a Field Application Specialist and contribute to improving cancer and rare disease patient outcomes worldwide. This field-based role, primarily located in Boston, MA (with remote options in EST/CST time zones), requires at least 50% travel across the US. You will train customers on SOPHiA GENETICS solutions, provide support, collaborate with sales and CAPM teams, and participate in laboratory projects. The position requires hands-on NGS and liquid handling robot experience, a Master's degree in Life Sciences (PhD preferred), and excellent communication and customer service skills. Requirements
- Hands on experience with NGS library preparation and captures is required
- Master's degree in Life Sciences, PhD preferred
- Excellent customer relations & service skills
- Willing to travel to various locations for executing trainings and any customer supports (60%)
- Excellent scientific communication skills, both oral and written
- High level of accuracy, reliability, and strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and logical reasoning
- Collaborative mindset with great team spirit
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate training to customers on SOPHiA GENETICS solutions, manage customer support
- Build effective relationships with new and existing clients for field application purpose, monitor the customer feedback on product usage
- Elaborate laboratory documents
- Train internal and external collaborators
- Gather feedback from customers regarding their needs, communicate internally for product design improvement
- Coordinate with the development and/or marketing team for proper market implementation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with liquid handler robots (Hamilton, Beckman, ...) is a strong plus
