Remote Field Engineer

Summary

Ampd Energy is seeking a Service Technician to provide technical support and repair services for all products in the company. The technician will work under the Field Engineering department, performing duties such as delivery, installation, maintenance, and repair of Ampd's battery energy storage systems at customer sites and in their service center.

Requirements

• Education in electrical engineering or equivalent technical education
• Holding REW license – grade A/B is preferred
• Technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, or process systems
• Experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems (LV and ELV)
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s drawings and manuals
• Able to work well independently
• Working proficiency in Cantonese

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and conduct repairs on products on customer sites
• Conduct installation and commissioning procedures of products on customer sites
• Perform routine maintenance inspections on all the products on customer sites
• Respond to on-site emergency calls and troubleshoot product issues, sometimes during non-work hours
• Help collect and analyse data regarding the product reliability, usability, and performance
