Summary

Join Markforged, a company reinventing the manufacturing industry, as a Field Sales Representative. You will drive business growth by generating new revenue, developing sales pipelines, crafting proposals, nurturing partnerships, and closing large deals with C-level executives. This role demands an experienced, dynamic, and results-oriented individual who thrives in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, developing sales pipelines through various outbound initiatives, creating and presenting business proposals, building and maintaining strategic partnerships, and qualifying prospects. You will also articulate Industry 4.0 insights to help manufacturers adopt additive manufacturing. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field, significant business development experience, direct sales experience to C-level executives, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. A strong understanding of the design and manufacturing industry is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred
  • Significant and proven experience in a business development role
  • Experience in direct sales to C-level executives
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the design and manufacturing industry trends and market dynamics
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, you will be able to establish and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities and potential clients
  • Develop a sustainable sales pipeline through outbound initiatives like cold calling, networking, and social media engagement
  • Research, draft, and present business transformational proposals that address client needs and provide innovative solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners to leverage their networks and abilities, thereby enhancing the business' offerings
  • Qualify prospects and move opportunities systematically through the sales pipeline, from identification and initial outreach to the closed / won sales stage
  • Articulate and share Industry 4.0 insights to help manufacturers embrace additive manufacturing and overcome business challenges
  • Any other duties as reasonably required

Preferred Qualifications

Past experience in high tech sales, such as 3D CAD Sales, Solidworks, Autodesk or Robots Automation is beneficial
