Field Service Engineer

Summary

Ampd Energy is seeking a Field Engineer to manage the operation and after-sales service of their battery energy storage systems in Indonesia. The role involves overseeing installation, conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, collecting data, performing tests, managing relationships, training teams, creating documents, and occasionally assisting in product design.

Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of industrial electrical theory and installation techniques
• Good knowledge and understanding of the national electrical code
• 2-5 years experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems
• Experience with the use of multimeters, current clamp probes, megger testers, and ground loop impedance testers
• Understanding of control systems and firmware architecture
• Ability to educate and train others. Supervisory experience is a plus
• Ability to work well independently
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) internally and externally facing clients

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and commissioning of the product
• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues remotely and at the customer site
• Diagnose issues and help solve root causes
• Collect and analyze data regarding the product reliability, usability, efficiency, and performance
• Perform hardware and software tests on the products
• Manage professional relationships with customers and field engineering partners
• Train internal and external teams to support and troubleshoot the product
• Create and revise test documents and reports (SOP’s, datasheets, etc.)
