Requirements
- You’ve recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- You’re keen to start or are already working towards your CPA or CA
- You have strong attention to detail and a basic understanding of accounting principles
- You’re confident using Excel and open to learning new systems
- You’re organised, proactive, and not afraid to ask questions or offer ideas
- You enjoy working with others and can communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance colleagues
- You’re based in Sydney and have full working rights in Australia
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP): Support invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and timely payments while ensuring adherence to internal controls
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist with customer invoicing, payment allocation, and follow-ups on outstanding balances
- Performance Analysis: Help track financial KPIs, prepare variance analysis, and assist in monthly business reviews
- Month-End Reporting: Assist with month-end close activities including preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
- Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, helping to identify inefficiencies and support automation or system enhancements
- Support ad hoc projects and tasks across the Finance team as needed
