Finance Associate

Summary

The job is for a Finance Associate at Carda Health, a healthcare startup focused on providing virtual therapy for heart and lung patients. The role involves supporting strategic decisions, conducting monthly financial reviews, working closely with the Head of Finance and CEO, and building models for in-depth analyses. Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience in strategic finance or FP&A supporting Core G&A Functions
• A keen analytical eye and experience building integrated models from scratch (in Excel)
• Experience driving and executing on finance processes (e.g. budget, forecast reviews, negotiations)
• Strong ability to analyze and quickly understand a 3-statement model
• A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners
• The ability to maintain high performance under tight timelines and a ‘roll up your sleeves’ mindset to get any job done
• The ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A desire to further your career and an ambition to work on problems that actually matter

Responsibilities

• Leverage your financial background to support and influence key strategic and business decisions
• Conduct monthly reviews of company financials
• Work closely with Head of Finance and CEO to support and inform business decisions
• Design and provide analytical rigor to measure efficiency and ROI of investments in headcount and non-headcount expenses
• Drive reporting, process and discipline for finance routines to shape and influence decision-making (e.g. budget, forecast, monthly reviews, long-range plans)
• Build and own models for in-depth analyses, as well as ensure their quality, timeliness, and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a high-growth technology or financial services company
• Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn
• Experience in data visualization and dashboarding
• Sage/Metabase or other equivalent application experience
• CPA qualification
