Join Storable's dynamic Finance team as a self-motivated and experienced Finance Manager. You will lead financial planning and analysis, supporting operating expenses across the business. Key responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, reporting, headcount management, and partnering with cost center owners. You'll produce variance analyses for data-driven decision-making and manage a team of financial analysts. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, along with extensive experience in financial planning and analysis within the software industry. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the software industry and as a manager
- A self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and other financial planning tools/systems (e.g., EPM, ERP systems)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial audiences
- Ability to manage and coach others
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the annual operating expense budget, working with business partners to gather inputs and assumptions
- Prepare and maintain rolling forecasts for operating expenses, incorporating the latest feedback from business partners
- Serve as a key financial business partner to multiple departments, providing financial guidance and support
- Collaborate with business partners to understand their financial needs and objectives
- Work closely with business partners to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, headcount tracking, and key metrics reporting
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and decision-making
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function
- Streamline reporting processes and automate tasks where possible
- Manage at least one Financial Analyst or Sr. Financial Analyst providing oversight, training, and guidance where necessary
- Actively coach direct reports to ensure they understand
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
- Experience with Netsuite
- Experience with Microsoft Power Query or Power BI
- Experience at PE backed software company
