Summary

Join Wakam’s high-performing Finance team in the UK, working closely with the Paris HQ, to deliver accurate financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders. You will collaborate with the Group Reporting team, optimize processes, and present strategic recommendations. This role requires a recently qualified ACCA, ACA, or equivalent, with insurance industry experience, strong financial analysis skills, and excellent communication abilities. The position offers a hybrid model in the London office or fully remote within the UK, along with flexible working, a collaborative culture, and opportunities for professional development. Wakam is redefining insurance with transparency and technology, offering a chance to make a real impact. The hiring process involves interviews with the People team, CFO, Finance team members, and a final in-person meeting.

Requirements

  • Recently qualified ACCA, ACA or equivalent, ideally with experience in the insurance industry
  • Solid grasp of UK GAAP and familiarity with MGA/Broker models
  • Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Proven experience in cash flow management, regulatory reporting, and risk controls
  • Deep understanding of financial frameworks and compliance within insurance
  • Ability to develop, implement, and enhance accounting policies and processes
  • Strong communicator β€” able to translate financials into clear, digestible insights
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for solving complex problems

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial and management reporting for both our UK operations and Wakam Group
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal financial standards
  • Collaborate seamlessly with our Group Reporting team in France
  • Transform complex financial data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders
  • Challenge the status quo β€” identify risks, spot inefficiencies, and propose smarter ways of working
  • Drive continuous improvement through the optimisation of processes and internal controls
  • Support the implementation of best-in-class financial procedures
  • Present strategic recommendations and insights to management to support decision-making
  • Foster strong relationships across departments and with external partners
