Summary

Join ezCater's FP&A team as a Financial Analyst and contribute to financial and operational decision-making. You will collaborate cross-functionally, focusing on supporting Sales and Product teams. This role demands strategic thinking, problem-solving, and effective collaboration with leadership. Leverage analytical and interpersonal skills in a growing online marketplace. The position involves developing financial models, analyzing data, forecasting, and preparing materials for potential financing and partnerships. You will work with operational sales data to assess impact and identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of transferable strategic financial experience
  • Hunger for learning
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL and Tableau is a plus. Specific key functions: lookups & sumifs / averageifs
  • Proven ability to operate independently, synthesize complex data, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to communicate thoughtfully and craft narratives for a broad network of stakeholders
  • Ability and desire to collaborate extensively with the FP&A team as well as business partners across the organization

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models and work on special projects to facilitate decision-making, planning, and reporting
  • Work across the Finance team to consolidate financial results and metrics in support of monthly close processes and Board of Directors reporting, including
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to understand key drivers of financial results
  • Assisting with revenue and expense forecasting during annual budget processes
  • Leverage operational sales data to assess the impact of our demand sales motion and identify opportunities to drive efficiency and growth
  • Analyze investments in product and technology initiatives to assess ROI and inform strategic capital allocation decisions
  • Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders across the organization to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations
  • Prepare pitch materials, due diligence materials, and financial models to support any potential future financing, M&A, and partnership discussions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in two-sided marketplaces for B2C and B2B customers is a plus
