Summary

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Have 2+ years of finance and accounting experience, preferably with growing professional services companies
  • Be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing, in person, and via electronic mediums
  • Be able to communicate professionally with clients, management, employees, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Be able to read and interpret policy, regulations, and directives
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced modeling, pivot tables, macros), Google Sheets, pricing software, and financial analysis tools
  • Have strong budgeting and reporting skills and a solid understanding of cash flow management
  • Possess analytic and modeling skills and familiarity with income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows
  • Have experience performing financial management and reviewing work products for correctness, quality, and completeness
  • Have experience tracking, monitoring, reporting, standardizing, and overseeing project cost, schedule, and performance measures
  • Have experience managing, coordinating, and facilitating a team's efforts effectively and efficiently in multiple contract environments (i.e., Time and Material, Firm Fixed Price)
  • Have excellent time management skills with keen attention to detail
  • Have a high level of personal integrity, ethics, motivation, and ability to foster mutual respect and inclusion
  • Be able to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing environment while maintaining alignment across organizational boundaries
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet any other requirements for government contracts for which they are hired
  • Have work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future
  • May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances

Responsibilities

  • Provide program and project control support for monthly close activities, including variance analysis related to key drivers such as revenue, gross margin, net margin, and billable hours
  • Work closely with Accounting, Contracts, and Program Managers to prepare accurate, timely invoices for submission to clients according to the invoicing instructions in the contracts
  • Prepare Estimate-At-Completion (EAC) and support analysis comparing budgets and forecasts to actual results, plus financial and operational trends
  • Conduct contract and subcontract administration, to include monitoring of funding, and leading analysis on project cost, schedule, performance, variance, risk reporting, and analysis
  • Reconcile and provide explanation on any unbilled balances, provide weekly status updates on any overdue invoices and follow up when needed, update and maintain the Billing Master file, and assist with ongoing timesheet reviews
  • Prepare executive presentation materials, assist with company and project leadership briefings, and perform on ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • Partner with Program Managers and Directors to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and delivering actionable insights to relevant decision-makers to support them running their programs
  • Develop and provide monthly financial reports to Program Managers, Program Directors, and company executives
  • Work with multiple programs/projects to develop financial dashboards to track financial and operational KPIs, monitor progress and quality, manage issue resolution, recommend corrective action, and develop ad-hoc client deliverables
  • Coordinate with program leadership and stakeholders to ensure project execution is consistent with budget plans and coordinated with program sponsors as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Be proficient in GSuite, Slack, Zoom, Excel, Apple computers, and other tools used to support a remote-work environment
