Summary
Join Harbor Health as a Sr. Financial Analyst and play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy as we transform healthcare delivery in Austin and Texas. You will analyze financial data, develop models, and provide actionable insights to support organizational decision-making. This fully remote position requires strong analytical skills and healthcare industry knowledge to optimize our payvider model. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience in financial analysis (preferably in healthcare), and advanced Excel skills. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in healthcare
- Strong understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement models, and revenue cycle
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain analytics and reporting to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Create financial models that forecast revenue, costs, and profitability across various service lines
- Analyze member utilization patterns and their impact on gross margins
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality of care
- Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to leadership
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes with a focus on gross margin analysis
- Monitor and analyze healthcare reimbursement models and payment trends
- Evaluate potential new service offerings and strategic initiatives for financial viability
- Develop dashboards and reports to communicate financial performance metrics
- Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting Team to ensure consistency in reporting and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience with value-based care models and/or payvider organizations
- Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations
