You will collaborate with various business units and finance teams to gather data, perform variance analysis, and prepare financial reports. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the financial reporting team during month-end close and assisting in the preparation of materials for external board reporting. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and excellent communication abilities. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a financial or analytical role (FP&A experience is an asset)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail; proficient in Excel (or Google Sheets) and PowerPoint (or Google Slides). Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights) is a plus
  • Experience with pulling & analyzing data; developing financial modeling skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
  • A passion for understanding business processes and contributing to problem-solving
  • A curious nature; if something seems off, flag it for investigation and assist in understanding the issue
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively with team members; able to communicate effectively
  • Good communication skills, including clear writing and the ability to present data effectively. Supports in conveying the story behind the numbers

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts and monthly rolling forecasts, supporting the streamlining of the budgeting process
  • Work with business units and Finance teams to gather inputs for monthly, quarterly, and annual expense forecasts
  • Perform variance analysis on actuals to forecast and assist in identifying key drivers for review with senior team members
  • Support the financial reporting team during month-end close by preparing data and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness of information
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for external board reporting and other deliverables
  • Provide assistance on ad-hoc projects
