Join Samsara's Finance Ops Metrics/KPI team and play a critical role in compiling and reporting high-visibility business KPIs. You will support the build of new reporting dashboards and KPIs, analyze large-scale data in Tableau and Databricks, and assist the IR/Corporate Development team during quarter-end processes. This role requires strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities, experience with data visualization tools, and excellent communication skills. You will partner with data teams to optimize existing code and build new data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have experience reporting on KPI metrics at scale and thrive in a fast-growing environment. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Strategic Finance or Investment Banking or Management Consulting or Data/KPI-related function
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or related field
- Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities
- Previous experience using Tableau or other data-visualization tools
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management
Responsibilities
- Play a critical role on the Finance Ops metrics team by compiling and reporting on high-visibility business KPIβs that are shared throughout the business
- Support build of new reporting dashboards and KPIs to provide actionable insights to business partners across R&D, GTM and G&A
- Analyze large scale data in Tableau and Databricks to ensure data cleanliness and accuracy
- Assist IR/Corporate Development team during quarter end processes by providing business insights and backup used in earnings scripts and investor decks
- Serve as a key point of contact for data-related questions around ACV, ARR and other non-GAAP financial metrics
- Enable the business to hit 3-year growth and profitability targets
- Partner with the Data & Integrations team to optimize existing code and build new data pipelines/analytics
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsaraβs cultural principles (Sample the Customer Experience, Work with Urgency and Deliver Iteratively, Work Backwards from Winning, Keep a High Bar, Be Intellectually Honest, Have Discipline, Eliminate Bureaucracy and Solve Problems Together) as we scale globally and across new offices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering with data teams
- Proficiency in SQL / Databricks
- Eagerness to enhance existing processes and build new optimal workflows
