Financial Audit Analyst

Summary

Join World Business Lenders (WBL) as a Contract/Consultant in a 100% remote position focusing on financial accounting and reporting. You will work closely with the Finance Team Lead, assisting in month-end closing, preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and performing financial analysis. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent communication skills. The position offers a competitive salary and a fully remote work environment. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and relevant experience are required. Experience with Sage GL and AP is preferred.

Requirements

• 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Excel proficiency
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 1 year in a senior position
• Proficient with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Finance Team Lead to close books every month
• Assist in preparing the company's external financial statements
• Assist conducting audit plans and procedures
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
• Assure Financial Statements are accurate and comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Coordinate with Loan Administration (servicing system) regarding recording loan updates and related data in Accounting system
• Annual 1099 generation and filing with IRS
• Special Projects including automation of processes through inhouse initiatives/3rd party vendors and other duties as assigned in support of the Corporate Controller
• Ensure timely vendor payment, review and monitor accounts payable aging analysis
• Set up wires, ACH and book transfers
• Communicate with vendors as required
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, processes and internal controls
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ general accounting experience and demonstrated technical accounting knowledge preferred
• Experience with Sage GL and AP is preferred, but not required
• Well-versed in IFRS and/or GAAP accounting
• Teams experience preferred
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Proactive approach and strong work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail
