Join Hootsuite as a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A and contribute to the company's growth. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, management reporting, and financial planning system support. The role involves working remotely or in a hybrid arrangement in Vancouver or Toronto, reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A. You will leverage your expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and systems like Google Sheets and Netsuite. This position requires significant FP&A experience and a professional accounting designation is preferred.

Requirements

  • Significant relevant experience in an FP&A business partnership capacity or similar role
  • Financial modeling and analyzing data and performance, particularly strong knowledge of Google Sheets and Netsuite
  • Problem Solving: uses an organized and logical approach to find solutions to complex problems. Looks beyond the obvious to understand the root cause of problems
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: works with others to deliver results, meaningfully contributing to the team and prioritizing group needs over individual needs

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and templates to support and consolidate departmental budgets and forecasts
  • Develop and implement processes to build scalable solutions for Hootsuite's growth
  • Serve as a key business partner to assigned departments, assisting with budgeting and reporting
  • Present findings and business recommendations to stakeholders
  • Monitor actual results vs. budget and review variances with budget holders
  • Support recurring consolidated management and board reporting
  • Develop/maintain processes to report on headcount/hiring plans against budget
  • Support continuous improvement of Adaptive, Financial planning system
  • Serve as a key business partner, providing financial analysis and support for strategic planning, scenario modeling, and business cases
  • Provide analysis and insights for corporate performance reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency by identifying financial and operational control gaps
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional accounting designation CPA, CFA, CBV or an MBA
  • A strong foundation in Adaptive Insights, including knowledge of understanding/writing formulas, and creating reports/dashboards
