Summary

Join Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company (F&G) as a Financial Reporting Accountant and contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting for FGL Holdings and its subsidiaries. You will prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support the Financial Reporting team in responding to internal and external auditor requests. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Highly motivated and demonstrated ability to take initiative

  • Ability to successfully work on multiple tasks/projects to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to successfully handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to create complete accurate documentation of work performed

  • Ability to collaborate with internal customers and identify opportunities for improvement while demonstrating a strong desire to learn and grow

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts and other financial data
  • Execute internal controls designed to mitigate identified risks within the financial reporting process
  • Prepare journal entries, evaluation and supporting analysis
  • Perform designated tasks within the monthly close management process
  • Assist with requests of both internal and external auditors
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and/or internal control enhancements
  • Assist with ad hoc requests, special projects and other duties related to financial reporting and analysis, as assigned
