Requirements
- 3-5 years of finance experience, ideally in a fixed-income role or other middle office role at a hedge fund, prime broker, or fund administrator
- Ability to work from 7 AM PST
- Advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with or the ability to learn enterprise-level accounting software and develop efficient processes
- Authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Oversee fixed income pre and post-trade settlement operations including trade exceptions, inquiries, allocations, fails resolution, and position transfers
- Project manage corporate actions including conducting research, evaluating information, and liaising with traders on elections and liabilities
- Maintain and summarize an internal workboard utilized by traders, research, and software engineering teams through communication channels and cross-functional reviews
- Perform reconciliation of internal books with the prime broker and fund administrator
- Work with the Fund Accounting Team to ensure all activity is properly recorded and documented, including collaboration on cash reconciliation and trial balance
- Improve the quality and efficiency of workflows through automation initiatives
- Support projects including broker onboardings, restructures, and account setups
- Support team cross-training initiatives, workflow reviews, and coverage plans
- Connect periodically with service providers to identify efficiencies and review updates to policies and internal control standards
- Develop and improve new and existing policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience automating manual processes
- Experience working for a broker-dealer, and simple accounting for monthly-close
- Bachelorβs degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting
