Summary

Join AI Fund, an early-stage venture firm, as a Founding Team Member (FTM) to launch and scale a new business focused on transforming the online shopping experience. You will work closely with the AI Fund and eBay Ventures teams to build an intelligent, conversational product research tool. Responsibilities include iterative research and validation, product design and prototyping, setting the company's vision and strategy, and securing funding. The ideal candidate possesses previous management and startup experience, a technical background, and a strong entrepreneurial mindset. You must be a hands-on leader with system design and architecture experience, and familiarity with AI technologies and fundraising. The role offers the opportunity to build a company from the ground up and make a significant impact on the online shopping industry.

• Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset
• Must be a technical hands on leader (ie. still able to code or build prototypes)
• Must have system design and architecture experience
• Must have kept up with the latest AI technological trends
• Experience working on AI projects (even side projects for fun)
• Experience working on pitch deck and part of the fundraising efforts
• Experience building and attracting top notch engineering and product team

Responsibilities

• Work alongside our staff to iteratively research and validate on a problem to solve that can benefit from AI/ML. This includes idea validation, product validation, market validation, and funding validation
• Design a product and prototype it
• Set the vision and the strategy of the portfolio company once the idea has been tested and determined product market fit
• If all makes sense, we capitalize the company to help you stand the company up, bring in the best talent, build the product, and launch

Preferred Qualifications

Domain expertise in eCommerce or retailtech or search engine optimization
