Summary
Join ProjectDiscovery as a Founding Solutions Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy. This unique opportunity combines technical expertise with a customer-centric approach. You will lead technical demos, address complex questions, and guide prospects in leveraging our platform to solve their security challenges. You will also ensure smooth deployments for new customers, help existing users maximize platform capabilities, and act as a technical advisor. Furthermore, you will bridge the gap between customers and internal teams, providing valuable feedback to improve our offerings. This remote position, ideally aligned with the US East time zone, offers a chance to build processes from the ground up and significantly impact our growth.
Requirements
- Be a curious, self-driven problem solver who thrives in a fast-moving environment
- Operate with urgency and enjoy tackling business problems with a technical mindset
- Be a technical security expert with deep knowledge of vulnerability management and application security
- Be customer-obsessed and enjoy working directly with users, solving problems, and helping them succeed
- Be comfortable in early-stage startup environments, where you help create structure and process as you go
- Have 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales engineering, consulting, or technical role
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, customized technical demos tailored to each prospect’s needs which align to positive business outcomes
- Answer technical questions, challenge the prospects current way of solving their problem(s) and explore potential solutions to real-world security challenges
- Effectively manage the Proof Concept process through influence and creation of clear business requirements aligned to positive business outcomes resulting in a technical win
- Be the technical expert on ProjectDiscovery’s platform , guiding prospects on how our tools fit into their security workflows
- Ensure smooth post-sales deployments, product adoption and provide technical support for recently closed accounts
- Partner with customer success to expand use cases, answer technical questions, and improve retention
- Work with marketing to refine messaging, create technical content, and build educational collateral
- Be the voice of the customer , relaying insights to product, engineering, and marketing to drive improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience as a security engineer, pentester, or ethical hacker with a focus on application security, vulnerability management, or red teaming
- Have used ProjectDiscovery’s open-source tools (Nuclei, httpx, subfinder, etc.)
- Have worked in a startup with less than 50 people in a solutions engineer role
Benefits
- On-target earnings: $160,000 - $220,000 (70/30 base-variable split) for U.S. employees, DOE. Compensation outside the U.S. will be adjusted based on local market data
