Graphic Designer - Title Treatment Localization

Summary

Join Wordbank as an experienced Graphic Designer for an ongoing project with a renowned international streaming service, focusing on localizing title image content for global markets. Recreate English title images in your native language, ensuring designs are visually compelling and culturally appropriate. You will create both 2D and 3D graphics from scratch, provide market consultation, and work in a deadline-driven virtual team environment. The role is freelance, requiring at least two title designs per week with an 8-hour turnaround time. A design test and signed NDA are part of the evaluation process. Wordbank offers a flat rate of $105 per title, with payments settled via Wise.

Requirements

• Be a native speaker of the target market's language
• Have a strong understanding of cultural nuances and design preferences
• Have experience adapting designs while ensuring cultural relevance and avoiding offensive imagery
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design and typography
• Have expertise in handling different language scripts (e.g., CJK, Cyrillic, Arabic) and their layout challenges
• Have awareness of text expansion/contraction and its impact on spacing and readability
• Be familiar with right-to-left (RTL) and vertical text layouts for languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Japanese
• Be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and JIRA
• Have an internet connection with a minimum speed of 2 Mbps up and down (4 Mbps preferred)
• Be proficient in 3D modeling and texturing using Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or Cinema 4D
• Have experience working with localized fonts and scripts in a 3D space
• Have knowledge of rendering engines such as V-Ray, Arnold, Redshift, or Eevee
• Have a strong understanding of UV mapping and texturing workflows for localized title assets
• Be able to handle 3D file formats including FBX, OBJ, and GLTF
• Complete and pass a design test before being hired

Responsibilities

• Design and create both 2D and 3D graphics from scratch based on detailed specifications and a brief
• Provide consultation on designs that will work for the target market
• Work in a deadline-driven team environment in a virtual capacity
• Design at least 2 titles per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Be able to adapt and redesign iconography to suit different cultural contexts
• Have strong attention to detail in maintaining brand consistency across localized assets
