Summary

Join a year-long transcription project with DataForce by TransPerfect, working remotely as a freelance/independent contractor to transcribe audio recordings in Kazakh.

Requirements

• Idiomatic fluency in Kazakh
• Be diagnosed with blindness or low vision
• Be able to type in Kazakh on a keyboard without assistance of another person
• Use a screen reader at least 10 hours per week
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent listening and writing skills in Kazakh
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow guidelines and receive direction
• Excellent time management
• Ability to understand and implement feedback

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the quality of audio recordings from poor to excellent
• Type the content in Kazakh of the audio using a keyboard
• Note differences in the audio samples' speed
