Front End Developer

Summary

Join OKTO, a leading digital payment platform provider, as a Front End (Web) Engineer in Athens, Greece. You will be responsible for developing web-based applications using React and Typescript, collaborating with product and design teams, ensuring optimal performance and scalability, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies. This role requires strong experience with ReactJS, state management libraries, modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, REST APIs, and front-end build tools. You will also need to be proficient in version control systems like Git and have experience with unit and e2e testing.

Requirements

• University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of working experience in designing and developing software
• Strong experience with ReactJS and state management libraries (especially Redux/ Redux toolkit)
• Expert knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 and their best practices
• Have knowledge of Material UI or other React UI libraries
• Experienced with REST APIs
• Strong understanding of front-end build tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Vite)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end features using React + Typescript, ensuring optimal performance, scalability and security
• Collaborate with the Product Management team to ensure feature technical feasibility and trade-offs between requirements and implementation
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into functional front-end components
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and industry standards
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring that all components are working as expected
• Keeping yourself updated with new technology, platforms, frameworks, tools, and methodology

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in writing Unit tests (e.g. React Testing Library, Jest, Enzyme) and/or e2e tests (e.g. Cypress) will be considered a plus
