Frontend Engineer

Summary

Join DoiT's expanding engineering team in Indonesia as a Frontend Engineer for a six-month contract. This fully remote role focuses on localizing DoiT's flagship cloud-native SaaS product for the Japanese market using cutting-edge technology. You will develop and implement responsive user interfaces, localize products for web and mobile applications, and participate in code reviews and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in React, TypeScript, and UI testing, along with excellent communication skills. Requirements

• Strong experience in React ecosystem and Tailwind using TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with internationalization, preferably i18next
• Strong experience in developing automated UI tests
• Experience with Git, GitHub Actions and configuring build tooling such as Vite
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement responsive user interfaces for desktop, tablet and mobile
• Localize products for web and mobile applications
• Assist in reviewing and performing framework and packages updates to support security initiatives
• Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality, maintainable software
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to ensure adherence to coding standards
• Function in an Agile environment, participating in daily standup, sprint planning, review and retrospective meetings
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production, conducting root cause analysis and implementing necessary fixes
• Contribute to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in creating precise and responsive UI
• Experience with meta frameworks, preferably NextJS
• Familiarity with web security fundamentals
• Understanding of UI principles and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
• Familiarity with cloud cost management / FinOps practices
• Contributions to open-source projects
