Front-End Engineer

Summary

The job description is for a Frontend Engineer position at GWI in Greece. The role involves shaping user experience and delivering new features on platforms. Requirements

• Demonstrable commercial experience in coding with React.js and Typescript
• Excellent software development skills using both object and functional-oriented design fundamentals with a strong background in client-facing software applications
• Strong fundamentals around the web platform as a whole (HTTP/S, REST, Web performance & security)
• Experience with Computer Science fundamentals (data representation, data structures, algorithms) and with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Knowledge and experience with continuous integration and deployment automation concepts
• Good judgment, prompt decision-making ability, responsibility, and accountability
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and delivery timelines; Agile development experience (including tools like JIRA, Git, etc) is welcome
• Excellent command of written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Play a crucial role in shaping the user experience by delivering new and exciting features on our platforms
• Conduct code reviews
• Work closely with designers to ensure optimal UX
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate projects into a cohesive system
• Motivate and guide junior team members
• Participate in tech sessions
• Engage in DevOps and QA operations
