Summary

Join our team as a Team Lead, managing a cross-functional development team (Back-end, Front-end, AQA). You will guide the team's engineering strategy, culture, and agreements. As a Tech Lead for front-end development, you'll establish team agreements, quality standards, and a shared vision. You will be the central point of contact for all delivery-related questions, managing task decomposition, workload planning, and deadlines. Responsibilities include resource management, encompassing motivation, hiring, training, and productivity enhancement. This role requires experience as a line engineering manager and significant experience as a JavaScript/TypeScript + React developer.

Requirements

  • Have experience as a line engineering manager (Team Lead/Tech Lead/Engineering Manager)
  • Have previous significant experience as a JavaScript Developer/TypeScript + React Developer
  • Have familiarity with Back-end development at a level sufficient for competent decomposition and task setting. Ideally, basic+ level of Go and/or Python
  • Have experience with relational databases: creating a schema, writing SQL queries, indexes, migrations
  • Understand the principles of distributed applications and microservice architecture
  • Have good knowledge of English and Russian language

Responsibilities

  • Manage a cross-functional development team (Back-end, Front-end, AQA)
  • Bring the team to the target state in terms of engineering strategy, culture and existing team agreements in all areas
  • Form team agreements, quality standards and a common vision of the front-end part of the product
  • Be the single entry point for all the questions that concerns delivery of your team: decomposition of product tasks into engineering ones, planning the workload of your team members and deadlines
  • Manage team member resources: motivation, hiring, training, productivity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have broad technical knowledge: algorithms, data structures, Linux, networks, security, SQL/NoSQL databases, clouds
  • Have experience in organizing a process approach to management (BPM)
  • Have knowledge of the basics of domain-oriented design (DDD), and its application in projects
  • Have experience in finance or other areas where data security and integrity are key requirements
  • Be autonomous, with a good level of self-organization, time management and workload
