Full Stack Developer

Summary

The job is for a Full Stack Developer at Springbig, a fast-growing SaaS company in the cannabis industry. The role involves full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment, with a focus on scalable solutions. The ideal candidate has experience in web and mobile application development, expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern JavaScript Front-End Frameworks (Vue.JS or React.JS), Ruby on Rails or Node.JS, GIT version control, SQL, and unit testing. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, attention to detail, organizational skills, and an analytical mind are also required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing web and mobile applications
• Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Expert knowledge of a modern JavaScript Front-End Framework (Vue.JS or React.JS)
• Expert knowledge of Ruby on Rails or Node.JS
• Expert knowledge of GIT version control
• Solid understanding of databases and fluent in SQL (we use PostgreSQL)
• Proficient with unit testing (experience with JS frameworks such as Jest or Mocha is preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• An analytical mind
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field preferred

Responsibilities

• Produce scalable software solutions as part of a cross-functional team
• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software
