Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Join 540 as a Full Stack Engineer to contribute to the development of applications for USCIS using modern open-source technologies on AWS. You will be part of a fast-paced team providing user-centered design, development, security, operations, and data science services. Daily tasks involve full-lifecycle DevOps, including estimating, designing, developing, and testing features. Collaborate with colleagues to optimize systems, enhance partner integration, and improve system stability, security, and data integrity. Requirements

• Have 5+ years of software development experience
• Be well-versed in Java and Spring Boot
• Have experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
• Have experience building cloud solutions in AWS
• Have database experience (SQL, Oracle)
• Have experience with automation and engineering tasks, implementation, data, infrastructure/operations, and security engineer tasks
• Possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Possess strong communication and collaboration skills for working in a team environment
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop optimized features for deployment
• Work with contemporaries to identify areas for improvement and optimize systems
• Enhance partner integration, system stability, security and data integrity

Preferred Qualifications

• Have proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Have experience with Kubernetes
• Have experience with Apache Kafka
• Have Agile Delivery experience
• Have experience working with the government, specifically with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
