Full Stack Engineer

Summary

The job posting is for a Frontend-Focused Full Stack Software Engineer role in an esports company. The position is remote-friendly and intended to create a bench for future roles on the engineering team. The successful candidate will develop and support client and platform projects, with a focus on frontend technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of frontend development practices.

Requirements

• At least two-three years of professional team based work experience in full-stack software development, with a strong emphasis on frontend development
• Proficiency in frontend technologies, including JavaScript, CSS, React, and some exposure to TypeScript
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, with some experience in creating or refining API endpoints, with experience in integrating ready made endpoints
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and support client and platform projects with a primary focus on frontend technologies, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
• Work closely with client managers, designers, and technical managers to ensure clarity on project scope, breaking down complex tasks into demoable parts aligned with project goals
• Build, test, and demonstrate user stories with a focus on creating engaging and intuitive user interfaces
• Collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend technologies
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our frontend development practices and standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Having experience in any of the following are a benefit, but not required: Experience with GitHub Actions and AWS services like CDK, CloudFront, ElasticBeanstalk or ECS, Route 53, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch
• Familiarity with decoupled CMSs, Storyblok, Contentful or the like
• Familiarity with modern frameworks like Nextjs, Remix, Gatsby or the like
