Summary
Join Fairmatic, a company revolutionizing auto insurance with AI, and become a Senior Software Engineer. This 6-month contract position, collaborating with teams in Tel Aviv and India, focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable systems for the claims experience. You will leverage modern technologies, lead solution implementation, collaborate with UI/UX designers, build RESTful APIs, and ensure application performance and security. The role requires strong full-stack development experience with Python and React, along with experience in cloud platforms and distributed systems. Mentoring junior team members and working with global cross-functional teams are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on full stack development experience
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred; Angular or Vue also welcome)
- Solid backend experience, with a preference for Python ( Node.js or Ruby also a plus)
- Experience working with cloud platforms and distributed systems (AWS is a strong plus)
- Proven track record delivering production-grade applications
- Deep understanding of databases, APIs, and web technologies
- Proficiency with GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Co-pilot, ChatGPT, Cursor etc.) to boost productivity, plus a growth mindset around continuously improving personal and team efficiency through AI
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern technologies
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, efficient technical solutions
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver responsive and engaging user interfaces
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs across both serverless and traditional architectures
- Ensure performance, security, and cross-browser compatibility across applications
- Promote high engineering standards and mentor junior team members
- Work closely with global cross-functional teams including Product, Data, and Business
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with both serverless (e.g., AWS Lambda) and non-serverless architectures
- Background in insurance or related industries
- Comfort working with remote, distributed teams across time zones
