Full Stack Software Engineer

Summary

Join Bitwarden as a Software Engineer and contribute to the development of their products. You will work with a team and the open-source community, taking ownership of features throughout the development lifecycle. This is a fully remote position for U.S.-based candidates; visa sponsorship is not offered. The role involves approximately 75% front-end and 25% back-end work, focusing on improving data insights and reporting features. You will become an expert in the Bitwarden codebase and collaborate on various aspects of development. The company offers a competitive salary and a supportive work environment.

Requirements

• Experience working in some or all of our stack: TypeScript, Angular, Tailwind CSS, C#, SQL
• Proficiency using source control such as Git, SVN, Subversion, TFS, etc
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset
• Openness and authenticity combined with excellent communication skills
• Excitement and enthusiasm for helping customers solve security and password challenges
• Excellent problem-solving skills – you might not know all the answers but you know how to find and communicate the solution

Responsibilities

• Become an expert and authority on the Bitwarden codebase, including frontend and backend infrastructure, APIs, database, web app, and more
• Participate in hands-on development of the Bitwarden products
• Participate in code reviews, learning and spreading technical knowledge
• Independently plan, estimate and deliver small and moderate solutions
• Be able to disagree and commit when presented with
• Occasionally, contribute bug fixes submitted by the user community
• Focus on improving the features that fall under the responsibility of the Data Insights & Reporting team, including
• Risk insights
• Reports
• Event logs
• Aggregating and encrypting/decrypting large sets of data to create reports to help individuals and organizations improve security

Preferred Qualifications

• User of Bitwarden
• Startup experience
• Open source experience
• Experience in RxJS or similar libraries, SQL Server, Azure, Node.js, RabbitMQ, .NET Core, web browser extensions

• In the United States, the starting base compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $155,000
