Fullstack Data Scientist

Summary

Requirements

• Master's degree in Data Science or Data Analytics, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience as a data scientist, data engineer, or similar position
• Proficient in complex data analysis, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis
• Proficient in using visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Experienced in building data pipelines using Python and SQL
• Skilled in using serverless cloud databases, such as BigQuery and Redshift
• Able to translate ambiguous business requirements into a clear implementation strategy
• Experienced in building systems in a team environment, sharing knowledge through documentation, code reviews, and peer mentoring

Responsibilities

• Use a data-driven understanding of student experiences to guide decisions on where to invest in product improvements
• Provide leadership team with clear, accurate updates of progress toward company KPIs
• Enhance continuous monitoring of student experiences to enable more rapid interventions, leading to improved student outcomes
• Leverage data analysis to understand our partners' student recruitment processes, empowering our enrollment marketing team to offer more targeted assistance
• Gather and analyze data on contract performance to inform where our partner success team should focus their efforts
• Collect system reliability and performance data, enhance the continuous monitoring of system health, and establish alert systems for rapid outage detection and resolution to minimize disruption to student experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in web development in the following technologies - or a willingness to learn them - is a bonus but not required: Node.js, React, Typescript, Rest APIs

Benefits

Compensation will vary with experience, but a rough range will be: Salary: $150,000 - $170,000 Equity: 5,000 - 10,000 shares
