Summary
Join Kiln's Software Development Team as a Fullstack Engineer and contribute to the future of our SaaS/API-first products. You will collaborate with a team of 14 engineers, reporting to the Lead Software Engineer, and working across various Kiln products. Responsibilities include contributing to architectural decisions, designing and developing new features (70% frontend, 30% backend), participating in code reviews and CI/CD processes, interacting with customers, ensuring software security, and suggesting improvements. The role requires 3+ years of software engineering experience, proven TypeScript and React skills, familiarity with software development best practices, and experience in a team-based environment. Experience in web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency is also essential, along with fluency in French and English. Requirements
- +3 years of experience as a Software Engineer (Backend, Frontend, or Fullstack), designing, building, and deploying user-facing and API-based products
- Proven TypeScript and React programming skills — professional experience in a production environment
- Familiar with software development best practices (Test, CI/CD, DevOps, Security…)
- Previous experience collaborating in a team-based development environment is required (sprints, code reviews, standups, problem-solving sessions)
- Curiosity and ability to dig into a topic and follow through
- Ability to balance between impact and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, or proven personal experience (eg. Github project, hackathon...) — with solid understanding of protocols, staking, and DeFi
- Fluent in both French and English
Responsibilities
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
- Be an active contributor within the Fullstack squad owning Kiln user-facing products ( Dashboard , Widget )
- Design, develop and implement new features : 70% frontend (e.g. using our design system to build new features or adding new components to it…). 30% backend (e.g. implement the transaction crafting part for a new protocol…)
- Participate in code review, test and CI/CD processes, bug fixing, and code maintenance
- Interact with customers for debugging purposes and product discovery
- Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company)
- Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices
- Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with Ethereum Virtual Machine and smart contracts
- Experience building dApps using libraries such as Wagmi and Viem
- Knowledge on how to craft raw blockchain transactions
- PHP/Laravel programming skills
- Experience in a fast-growing, early-stage startup
- Living close to Paris or London
