Join Wilcore as a Full Stack Engineer to contribute to the front-end and back-end development of form-related services and features on VA.gov. You will build reusable React components, implement dynamic schema-based forms, manage data validation, and develop secure APIs. This role involves modernizing legacy form infrastructure, optimizing user experience, and ensuring compliance with accessibility and security standards. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of full-stack development experience, strong skills in JavaScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and REST APIs, and familiarity with CI/CD practices and Git workflows. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a low-level security clearance is mandatory. Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in full stack development
- Strong experience with JavaScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and REST APIs
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and Git workflows
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Understanding of accessibility best practices and web standards (WCAG, Section 508)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile environments
- Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically
- Must be able to attain low-level security clearance

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or federal agencies
- Familiarity with JSON Schema Form libraries (e.g., react-jsonschema-form)
- Knowledge of VA.gov architecture and building forms on VA.gov
- Experience with automated testing and 508 scanning tools (e.g., Axe, pa11y)
