Fullstack Software Development Engineer

As a Software Development Engineer 3, you will play a key role in designing and implementing complex systems to support our talent platform. This position requires extensive experience in JavaScript, Java, web development, and related technologies. You will be responsible for building new solutions from scratch and supporting them throughout all phases. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative solutions and a desire to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. This is a remote position based in Belfast.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience with JavaScript
• 4+ years experience with Java
• 5+ years experience in web development
• 5+ years experience with basic web technologies (HTML/CSS)
• 4+ years experience with React
• 6+ years experience with RESTful api design and implementation
• 4+ years experience with node.js
• 4+ years experience with relational databases
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with a TypeScript schema declaration library such as Zod or Yup
• Experience with npm/yarn
• Experience with Webpack and Babel
• Understanding of asset deployment strategies
• Experience with code versioning systems (Git, SVN)
• Understanding of CRUD/REST principles
• Ability to groom business requirements into technical action items

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex systems to support the entire platform
• Ensure stability and performance as the team migrates to the next evolution of tools
• Build new solutions from scratch
• Support solutions throughout all phases from production to support

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ElasticSearch
• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience working with AWS
• Knowledge about the principles of Redux
• Experience working with Docker
• Experience using styled-components
• Experience writing tests (unit/integration/e2e etc.)
