Requirements
- Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist, with two Staatsexamina)
- 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably a mix of top-tier law firm and in-house roles (ideally in tech, healthtech, or platform businesses)
- Proven ability to lead complex legal processes such as M&A due diligence, investor negotiations, and regulatory strategy
- Deep practical knowledge of contract law, data protection (GDPR), and corporate governance
- Business-savvy mindset: You bring pragmatism, clarity, and a sense of proportionality to legal issues
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
Responsibilities
- Serve as the internal point of contact for all legal questions from across teams (Product, Sales, People, etc.)
- Provide legal guidance to the CEO and executive team on corporate governance, M&A, fundraising, and strategic partnerships
- Independently negotiate and draft key agreements, including investor termsheets, MSAs, SaaS agreements, employment-related contracts, DPAs, and more
- Manage and limit external counsel involvement by bringing high-value legal work in-house
- Be responsible for all compliance efforts, including GDPR, health data regulation, and internal audits
- Take ownership of data privacy processes and documentation (DPO responsibilities or external interface)
- Drive contract lifecycle management, including scalable templates and efficient approval processes
- Contribute legal expertise to AI product development and regulatory positioning
- Act as a partner to People, Product, and Business teams, balancing legal risk with business needs
