Join Token Metrics as our General Counsel and provide expert legal guidance in the dynamic cryptocurrency and blockchain sector. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in cryptocurrency and securities law, coupled with a passion for digital assets. You will offer comprehensive legal advice on cryptocurrency matters, develop legal strategies, draft legal documents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will also monitor regulatory developments, manage external counsel relationships, advise on intellectual property, assist with fundraising, and represent Token Metrics in legal proceedings. This role demands a Juris Doctor degree, strong securities law knowledge, and experience advising on token offerings. A deep understanding of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and ability to work remotely are essential.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Strong knowledge of securities laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to digital assets
• Demonstrated experience advising on token offerings, cryptocurrency exchanges, and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects
• Familiarity with international cryptocurrency regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Proven track record of successful litigation and courtroom representation
• Must own and actively engage with cryptocurrencies to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technology and ecosystem
• Proven track record of staying up-to-date with the latest developments in cryptocurrency law and regulation
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on cryptocurrency-related matters, including regulatory compliance, token offerings, and digital asset classifications
• Develop and implement legal strategies to navigate the complex regulatory landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
• Draft and review legal documents, including terms of service, privacy policies, and partnership agreements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance in product development and business operations
• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in the cryptocurrency and securities space, providing timely updates and recommendations to leadership
• Manage relationships with external counsel and regulatory bodies
• Advise on intellectual property matters related to Token Metrics' products and services
• Assist in fundraising efforts and corporate governance matters
• Represent Token Metrics in court proceedings and legal disputes as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with or for a cryptocurrency or blockchain company
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency market analysis and trading platforms
• Familiarity with decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and related legal structures
