Requirements

  • Strong understanding of tax principles with excellent knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficient in tax accounting concepts, including ASC 740, FIN 18, and other federal tax laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all management levels and business disciplines in a multinational corporate environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze large datasets and use data to improve processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and financial tools or database software
  • Self-starter capable of managing projects independently and ensuring timely completion
  • Ability to mentor others and provide constructive feedback to foster team development
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting or finance required; a graduate-level degree in accounting or taxation is preferred
  • 8+ years of finance and/or accounting experience, with at least 3 years of dedicated tax experience
  • Domestic income tax compliance experience required; international tax compliance and statutory audit experience is a plus
  • Occasional travel to our Corporate Accounting office will be required. Expectation is up to 10% travel

Responsibilities

  • Manage US federal and state income tax compliance, estimate and extension preparation including compilation of information, liaise with third party service provider for preparation, and remit payments to various taxing authorities
  • Collaborate with international tax firms to oversee and ensure the accurate management of global tax matters, providing strategic tax planning, review, and guidance on international tax issues
  • Prepare and/or review indirect tax filings, including VAT, GST, sales and use tax as well as property tax filings
  • Manage and facilitate tax inquiries and audits by the relevant authorities
  • Maintain a global tax calendar to track deadlines and ensure timely compliance
  • Manage US GAAP income tax provision preparation under ASC 740 with third party service provider, including preparation of supporting workpapers and schedules
  • Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation to provide advice on the impact to the Company
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and jurisdictions in which the Company operates on tax matters
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of income tax workflows
  • Review and perform computations and analyses related to the companyโ€™s quarterly and annual financial tax provisions, including
  • Permanent and temporary tax differences
  • R&D credit estimates
  • NOL utilization
  • Planning and acquisition integration activity
  • Research tax technical issues arising in routine business activities or tax planning strategies; remain current on U.S. and foreign tax law changes and tax alerts
  • Assist with statutory compliance and ensure adherence to Pillar 2 tax compliance and calculations
  • Respond to external auditors and notice assessments for all company entities
  • Perform transfer pricing activities, including maintaining documentation and managing intercompany loan settlements
  • Assist with tax planning initiatives and the development of effective strategies
  • Mentor and develop team members by providing guidance, feedback, and growth opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in domestic taxation is preferred, with familiarity in U.S., international taxation and the impacts of U.S. tax reform considered a plus
  • CPA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
