Requirements

  • 5+ years managing government purchase agreements lifecycle, including GSA compliance
  • Familiarity with commercial item/service contracts, federal supply schedules, multiple award schedules, firm fixed price contracts, IDIQ contracts, and common issues that may arise with these contract vehicles
  • Excellent internal and external negotiation skills. Must interface effectively with internal management and external customer representatives, including contracting officers and specialists
  • Possess strong research skills and the ability to apply critical thinking in your daily work
  • Be proactive in all aspects of your employment (e.g., learning company policies, seeking out information and POCs)
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially for business correspondence and proposals
  • Maintain privileged and confidential information with utmost integrity

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain government purchasing agreement lifecycle (from sourcing to development, implementation, and administration of purchasing agreement)
  • Work with the Legal Department to provide guidance on contract interpretation and support legal and compliance for U.S. government (federal, state, and local) contracts
  • Advise management and business segments concerning terms and conditions, including applicability of and compliance with state and local statutes, regulations, and other policies and related requirements of state and local contracting entities
  • Research and initiate government contracting accounts at the federal, state and local level
  • Advise management and business segments concerning terms and conditions, including applicability of and compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other policies and related requirements of U.S. Government agencies such as the Department of Defense, GSA, and Department of Energy
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures applicable to contracting and contract management
  • Draft, negotiate, and redline teaming agreements, sales and purchase orders/contracts, prime contract and subcontract terms, amendments, small and individual subcontracting plans, and other related commercial and government contract documents
  • Primary point of contact for prime contract and project personnel and responsibility for all contract incoming and outgoing correspondence

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPCM, CFCM, CCCM credentials
  • DFARS and/or FAR knowledge and compliance experience
  • Prior experience in statewide acquisition contracts
  • Prior experience in the rental equipment industry
