Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Business, or a related field
- 6+ years in a related field
- Experience with grant writing, grant management, compliance processes or within government
- Ability to identify, comprehend and effectively communicate key technical aspects of corporate operations
- Proven ability to effectively interact at the highest corporate, regulatory agency, and government levels (local, state, and/or federal)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex processes and projects clearly and persuasively
- Ability to work independently while effectively contributing as part of a team
- Attention to detail and meticulous organization
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
- Ability to travel domestically occasionally, as required
Responsibilities
- Identify and research federal, state and local funding sources to benefit Redwood or our partners
- Draft proposals and lead submission processes, including tracking deadlines and program requirements, coordination across multiple teams, and managing complex submissions
- Serve as external lead for various funding projects and collaborate internally to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and projects remain on track
- Oversee and ensure compliance, registrations and reporting requirements for existing grants and other programs, including the creation of new internal processes or reporting mechanisms, as required
- Creatively seek ways to enhance Redwood's consumer program, including assistance with proposals, performing outreach, and liaising with government, municipal and private sector partners to grow the program
- Contribute as a key member of Redwood’s external affairs team as needed, spanning Redwood’s consumer recycling program, policy and government relations, and marketing and communications
Preferred Qualifications
An advanced degree (e.g., JD, MPA, MBA)
