Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in a senior compliance role, with experience in HFT, trading, hedge funds, financial institutions, or related industries
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape governing financial markets, including SEC, FINRA, CFTC, and relevant international regulations
  • Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs for trading firms, with a focus on market abuse, trade surveillance, and risk management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory issues and develop pragmatic solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a high-performing compliance team

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance framework that covers all areas of our HFT operations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory developments and industry best practices, and ensure that our compliance policies and procedures are adapted accordingly
  • Monitor trading activities and conduct regular compliance reviews to identify potential risks and issues
  • Investigate and resolve compliance breaches, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Trading, Risk, Legal, and Technology, to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into all aspects of our business
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, and manage regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigations
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Continuously improve our compliance program, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance monitoring and surveillance capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, JD) and/or advanced degrees preferred
