Solutions Architect

Summary

Join NEC Digital as a Technical Architect and collaborate on solution design for customer projects while working autonomously and part of the remote team. Requirements include strong technical proficiency, excellent technical writing skills, knowledge of data modelling, database design principles, experience in the public sector, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Requirements

• Strong technical proficiency in modern web applications and SaaS platforms hosted in Public Cloud
• Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to document requirements and design architectures effectively
• Good Knowledge of data modelling, database design principles and data integration techniques
• Experience working in the public sector, with a strong understanding of government processes and requirements
• Ability to obtain Security clearance is required for this role

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Technology to design solutions required for customer projects, documenting requirements, and designing the architecture of applications
• Identify and address issues with existing architectures, proposing innovative solutions to meet client needs
• Participate in bid calls and interact with the sales process, providing technical input and expertise to support successful bids
• Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
• Effectively communicate technical concepts and issues to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding across all parties

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in AWS or other cloud platforms is highly desirable
• Experience working in a customer-facing role, interacting directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR and Cyber Essentials
• Have worked at the architectural level, however, coming from a developer/software background
