Summary

The job description is for a senior engineering manager with strong technical knowledge of blockchain protocols and a passion for Web3 ecosystems to drive the overall management and prosperity of the protocol program at a leading blockchain research and development firm based in Europe. The tech stack includes Go, Rust, and TypeScript.

Requirements

• Based in EU
• Prior experience in managing multiple teams
• Min 2 years experience in web3 and a deep technical understanding of web3 technologies and at least one ecosystem (e.g. Ethereum, Polkadot…)
• At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a proven track of team management capabilities

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead protocol teams, including mentoring, hiring and building best practices
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture and development methodologies
• Drive the quarterly goals and strategic planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Encourage a healthy work environment where everyone feels respected, empowered and has sufficient time to enjoy life
• Stakeholder communication and management, including sharing progress and insights, managing expectations and timelines
• Establish and maintain trusted relationships with clients, partners and community across the ecosystems
• Proactively researching the market and industry, sharing relevant insights with the teams and evaluating other opportunities for the protocol program
