Requirements

- 10 years of experience in network operations, data center management, or a similar role
- 5 years of experience in a leadership and people management position
- Experience with critical infrastructure systems, including power distribution, cooling systems, HVAC, or fire suppression
- Experience with capacity planning, space management, and budget management
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities strategy aligned with the company's overall network and business objectives
- Analyze current and future capacity needs to support network growth and expansion
- Develop and execute capacity planning strategies for power, cooling, space, and connectivity
- Manage and optimize space utilization within existing facilities
- Oversee the procurement and deployment of new equipment and infrastructure
- Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers, including colocation providers, contractors, and equipment suppliers
- Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all network facilities, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
- Develop and enforce standardized processes and procedures for facility operations, maintenance, and security
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Maintain a centralized database with information on all network facilities, huts, and equipment
- Complete regular physical audits to verify the accuracy of the inventory database and identify any discrepancies
- Establish a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment based on manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices
- Utilize data analysis and monitoring tools to predict potential equipment failures and schedule maintenance proactively
- Implement remote monitoring systems to track equipment performance, environmental conditions, and security breaches in real-time
- Develop clear procedures for reporting, troubleshooting, and repairing faulty equipment
- Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts to minimize downtime during repairs
- Establish strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of equipment and parts
- Develop and manage the annual budget for network facilities operations and maintenance
- Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce expenses
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to facility costs and resource utilization
- Regularly monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as network uptime, equipment failure rates, and maintenance costs to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize data analysis tools to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of problems
- Implement automated alerts to notify relevant personnel of critical events or alarms
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect network facilities and assets from physical and environmental threats
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure service restoration in the event of an emergency
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential vulnerabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field
- Experience with network security and risk management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Benefits
US base salary range for this full-time position is between $208,000 - $286,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits
