Requirements
- Prior experience in the FinTech domain is essential, with a strong understanding of the unique quality and compliance needs within this sector
- Proven ability to manage and motivate distributed teams, balancing remote coordination with effective leadership
- Strong expertise in test automation, including hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, Postman, Pact) and a history of building or enhancing automation frameworks
- Proficiency in API testing (REST, WS) and experience with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration of automated testing into our development lifecycle
- Skilled in code analysis, debugging, and quality metrics development, with a focus on identifying improvement areas and driving data-informed decisions
- Comfortable working in Agile environments, with experience adapting QA strategies to iterative release cycles
- Able to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making
- A proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions, with a commitment to continuous improvement
- A strong sense of accountability and ownership over QA outcomes, coupled with a data-driven approach to assessing quality metrics and performance
Responsibilities
- Act as the central point for QA, aligning testing approaches across domain teams and setting clear goals for quality improvements within the organisation
- Take accountability for the overall quality of our platform, establishing and monitoring key metrics to maintain and enhance product integrity
- Lead the development of a company-wide test automation strategy, focusing on increasing automation levels, improving efficiency, and delivering high-quality outputs. Define and implement a roadmap for automation growth across teams
- Work closely with domain teams to standardise QA processes, ensuring best practices are applied consistently and adapted to the specific needs of each domain
- Serve as a point of coordination between QA resources, engineering managers, and team leads, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous quality improvements
- Oversee a distributed team of QA professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities. Facilitate alignment and cohesion across geographically dispersed teams
