Requirements

  • Experience as a Director or Head of QA and proven success in leading QA organizations and driving cultural transformation within medium-to-large teams
  • Expertise in developing tools and frameworks that empower engineers to integrate quality into their workflows
  • Strong understanding of privacy assurance, compliance, and risk management, particularly in regulated industries
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • A passion for modern QA practices, including automation, scalable testing methodologies, and continuous improvement
  • A track record of influencing cross-functional leaders to adopt innovative approaches to quality and compliance
  • Strong knowledge in bugs management processes
  • Technical expertise in automation strategies and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Appium, Cypress), with strong experience in CI/CD integration
  • Ability to focus on proactive prevention rather than reactive processes, driving organizational alignment around quality goals

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a modern QA strategy focused on coaching, mentoring, and advocacy
  • Promote a quality-first mindset, ensuring engineers take ownership of quality while QA acts as mentors and enablers
  • Lead and develop a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across the QA organization
  • Provide regular updates on compliance, quality metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership
  • Partner with engineering teams to align QA efforts with product development goals from the earliest design stages
  • Build scalable frameworks, tools, and analytics to empower engineers to test efficiently and effectively
  • Develop automated solutions for monitoring production quality, compliance, and auditing
  • Continuously improve testing infrastructure to minimize bugs while enhancing development velocity
  • Ensure the QA team delivers actionable insights without creating bottlenecks or unnecessary overhead
  • Advocate for QA as a shared responsibility, challenging traditional testing roles
  • Educate teams on adopting practices that focus on preventing bugs rather than reactive fixes
  • Drive adoption of a zero-open-bugs mindset, emphasizing scalable solutions over manual processes
  • Work with Legal and Security teams to stay ahead of changes in regulations and industry guidelines
  • Create tools and processes for traceability, auditing, and synchronized logs to ensure compliance
  • Ensure privacy guidelines are integrated into development workflows without disrupting productivity
  • Help define and communicate compliance policies for engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business needs
